The average home in Lenawee County was on the market for $284,750 in October, up 1.7% from the previous month’s $279,900, an analysis of Realtor.com data shows.

Compared to October 2023, the average list price of a home fell 4.6% from $298,350.

The average Lenawee County home was 1,835 square feet, listed at $150 per square foot. The price per square meter of homes for sale has increased by 0.5% since October 2023.

In the previous month, homes were on the market for an average of 48 days. Approximately 104 new homes came onto the market in October, a decrease of 8.8% compared to the 114 new homes in October 2023.

In the United States, the average home price was $424,950, down slightly from the previous month. The average American home for sale was listed at 1,835 square feet, priced at $226 per square foot.

The average list price for homes used in this report represents the midpoint of all homes or units listed during the given period. Experts say the median provides a more accurate picture of what’s happening in a market than the average list price, which would mean taking the sum of all list prices and then dividing it by the number of homes sold. The average may be distorted by a particularly low or high price.
