A Salisbury man dies after being struck in a crash in Worcester County. What we know now

Ocean Pines Police Department officers responded Friday morning to a reported motor vehicle collision on Ocean Parkway between Briarcrest Drive and Beaconhill Road that left a Salisbury man dead.

Here’s what we know now.

Upon arrival at 8:43 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2024, officers discovered that a vehicle driven by William R. Lewis Jr., 65, of Parsonsburg, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a person in the lot of 47 Ocean Parkway. The affected person, Ramon Ramirez Castillo, 35, of Salisbury, suffered fatal injuries from the collision.

Both the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police responded to assist. The investigation is ongoing and accident reconstruction is being handled by the Maryland State Police.
