Mount Dora police are looking for an unknown black man who robbed a woman at gunpoint Saturday in Lake County, police said.
Around 5:40 p.m., police were called to Viva Liquor, located at 101 South Highland Street, where they discovered a woman who had been robbed, according to Mount Dora Police.
The woman said as she got into her car just outside the liquor store, a man dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask approached her with a silver semi-automatic firearm and took her purse, Mount Dora PD said.
The unknown black man also demanded the woman’s cell phone, but she refused to hand it over. Then the man threatened to shoot her, Mount Dora PD said.
The man fled the scene in a silver SUV of unknown make or model and drove west on 1st Avenue toward Clayton Street, Mount Dora PD said.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was not injured, the agency said.
