Warm Monday in Philadelphia, mapping out the next chance for rain in the area. Here is the NEXT weather forecast.

We’re ready to start a new week, and it’s definitely going to be a week with a lot of weather changes coming up!

First, expect Sunday clouds to linger until early Monday before sunshine returns in the afternoon. We could easily see temperatures rise to near 70 degrees around 2 or 3 p.m., and remain just below record highs. Clear skies are expected until Tuesday morning.

A warm front will move northward across the area on Tuesday evening, and on Wednesday we will warm into the mid and upper 60s with increasing cloudiness.

We have a good chance of some rain on Wednesday night and Thursday ahead of a cold front that passes by on Thursday. This could give us the best chance for rain we’ve seen in a few weeks.

Behind this front, temperatures will drop into the low 50s on Thursday.

Another weak front and even colder air will arrive on Friday and next weekend. Highs will only be in the mid 40s to 50s in the Delaware Valley.

There is a good chance of snow on Friday in parts of the Midwest and the Ohio Valley, as well as in the Appalachian Mountains of western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. No snow is expected for Philly, but parts of the Upper Poconos may see a mix or flurries.

Saturday: Clouds, some sun. Highest of 52, lowest of 43.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highest of 53, lowest of 40.
