MARTIN COUNTY − A state prisoner from Milton in the Pensacola area was charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with an incident that occurred in 2021, according to recently released court records.
WHAT HAPPENED: Martin Correctional Institution inmate Isidro Jones, 33, is accused of using a homemade weapon to stab a fellow inmate in the chest and heart. That inmate was taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce with serious injuries. Both prisoners are serving life sentences, which involve murders.
ARREST: Jones was charged with attempted first-degree murder and booked into the Martin County Jail without bond on Nov. 18, court records show.
