San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy did not practice Friday, putting his status for the Week 12 matchup with the Green Bay Packers in uncertainty.
While the 49ers have not yet made an official announcement, the NFL has listed Purdy on its injury report. He was previously listed as questionable but has apparently been demoted.
Right shoulder soreness limited Purdy during practices on Wednesday and Thursday, and he did not participate in the team’s final practice before traveling to Green Bay.

General manager John Lynch told KNBR on Friday that Purdy had undergone an MRI and described his status for Sunday as “weak.”
“Hopefully he makes progress and we can have a chance this weekend, but we’ll see,” Lynch said. “I think it’s weak.”
During Thursday’s practice, Purdy’s participation consisted of soft throws while San Francisco’s other three quarterbacks ran drills with QB coach Brian Griese. Purdy quit after about five minutes, had his shoulder worked on by trainers and went back to the locker room, according to reporters at the scene.
Purdy was hit on the right shoulder during last week’s 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He finished the game, but didn’t make any throws more than 10 yards after the goal. There was no indication afterward that Purdy was injured.
If Purdy can’t play Sunday, Brandon Allen will likely start at quarterback for San Francisco, with Joshua Dobbs in backup.
Additionally, defenseman Nick Bosa is listed on the injury report due to hip and oblique issues. Bosa suffered the injury during practice on November 6 and played through the injury in the Week 10 game with Tampa Bay.
He left last week’s game with the Seahawks in the third quarter and did not return. After the match, Bosa told reporters that he hurt his oblique while compensating for the hip injury.
