MANITOWOC – The body of Jason R. Neumann, a 43-year-old veteran of Manitowoc, was recovered Saturday from Lake Michigan about two miles north of the village of Cleveland.
Police confirmed the discovery of Neumann’s body on November 23.
In a Nov. 20 news release, police said Neumann’s vehicle, a 2019 Toyota 4Runner SUV, was located along the Lake Michigan shoreline in shallow water near the village of Cleveland on Nov. 19 at the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office. Police believe Neumann went missing on November 18.
“Our deepest condolences go out to Jason’s family and friends during this difficult time,” Manitowoc Police Lt. Adam Sohlden said in the news release. “At this point in the investigation, there are no indications that foul play is involved.”
The release states that the investigation is being completed by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and the Manitowoc County Coroner.
No other details were released as of November 23.
