Officers say the chase, which involved the driver of a suspected stolen Mercedes-Benz, began near Corwin Street and Vanowen Street.

About a minute after the chase began, the suspect crashed into a Tesla, which then crashed into two other uninvolved cars.

One person in the Tesla was pronounced dead at the scene. They have only been identified as a woman in her 40s.

Three others were also slightly injured.

The police arrested the suspect on the spot. They have not been identified and it is unclear if they were injured in the crash.

SkyCal flew over the crash site where the suspected stolen Mercedes lay on its side. Dozens of meters away stood a badly mangled white Tesla, covered by a white awning. Two other cars also suffered significant damage.
