Suspect escapes, leading metro Atlanta police on chase in stolen vehicle

Brookhaven police are investigating after a suspect led them on a chase in a stolen vehicle.

Police say police located a stolen vehicle in the city just after 10 p.m. on Sunday and initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled from officers.

The pursuing officer pursued the vehicle to E. Paces Ferry Rd at Oak Valley Road, where the pursuit ended.

Officials say the driver then fled the car on foot and police lost sight of them in the MARTA station. Police did not specify which MARTA station the suspect drove through.

They began searching the area for the suspect, but their search did not lead to an arrest.

The stolen vehicle the suspects were in was seized; No one was injured and no vehicles were damaged during the chase.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
