How to watch: The Minnesota Department of Public Safety announces additional DWI enforcement through New Year’s Eve

ST. PAUL, Minn. — A DWI enforcement campaign begins Wednesday and runs through New Year’s Eve in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety and other first responders will announce details of the program Tuesday morning.

So far this year, 415 people have been killed in traffic accidents and 24,000 people have been arrested for drunk driving, according to the Public Safety Department.

Between 2019 and 2023, there were 664 alcohol-related driving deaths in Minnesota.
