A Florida woman is facing charges of fraud, forgery and human trafficking

November 28 – A 46-year-old woman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, faces three felonies and one misdemeanor charge stemming from April 4, 2023.

Lacey Marrie Moyer was charged with attempt to obtain a controlled substance by forgery, attempted trafficking in opium, conspiracy to traffic in opium and possession of a fraudulent ID.

She was arrested on April 4, 2023 and held on a $200,000 bond.

The bond was changed to unsecured on September 28, 2023, almost six months later.

According to an indictment, Moyer allegedly attempted to obtain 28 grams of promethazine-codeine, an opioid, by forging a doctor’s name and Drug Enforcement Administration registration number at Medicine Park Pharmacy, 100 Park Ave. in Sanford.

She also allegedly presented a fraudulent Georgia driver’s license.

According to the charging document, Moyer tried to obtain the drug for a man.

She has an administrative hearing on December 16 in Lee County Superior Court.
