A pedestrian was killed in a crash on southbound Interstate Highway 680 in San Ramon early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said around 4:40 a.m., a pedestrian was running in the lanes of the highway south of Crow Canyon Road and was struck by a vehicle.
The accident closed two lanes. The lanes were reopened to motorists around 6:30 am.
No further details about the fatal accident were immediately available.
