Gas prices in Ohio are up from last week: see how much here

State gas prices rose for the second straight week on Monday to an average of $2.79 per gallon of regular fuel, up from last week’s price of $2.78 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The average price of fuel in the state has increased by about 0 cents since last month. Gas prices across the state last year were as low as $2.61 on Jan. 8, 2024, and as high as $3.69 on April 10, 2023, according to the EIA.

A year ago, the average gas price in Ohio was 6% higher, at $2.95 per gallon.

The average price of gas in the United States last week was $3.04, making prices in the state about 8.5% lower than the national average. The average national gas price is down from last week’s average of $3.05 per gallon.
