A 56-year-old woman who died after being found unconscious in a Brooklyn apartment had been beaten to death, police said Saturday.
NYPD detectives are investigating Idell Holloway’s death as a homicide after an autopsy revealed she died from massive injuries to her head and torso.
Police were called to an apartment on Sackman St. near Belmont Ave. around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 16. called – part of NYCHA’s Low Houses – and found Holloway unconscious on the floor.
EMS rushed her to Brookdale University Medical Center, where she died.
Holloway lives in the Lage Huizen, but in a different building than where she was found, police said.
She suffered bleeding on the brain and fractures to her pelvis and ribs during the assault, according to an investigation by the city’s medical examiner.
Police ruled her death a homicide Monday after receiving the medical examiner’s report.
No arrests have been made.
