The National Weather Service in Buffalo said they are currently predicting only a few inches for the immediate Rochester area, but widespread snowfall will occur in New York on Wednesday.
“That’s just general widespread air pressure, but we haven’t had a chance to look as much at the amount of snowfall for that day itself,” NWS meteorologist Steve Welch said Sunday.
Welch said the weather service expects to have a better idea of ​​Wednesday’s snowfall forecast later Sunday afternoon.

Currently, the Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Wayne and Northern Cayuga counties from 10 p.m. Sunday through 10 a.m. Monday.
