(CBS-DETROIT) – Okay, Detroit Lions fans. This one’s for you. Throughout the country, similar matches are emerging. Now Metro Detroit welcomes all MCDCs (Motor City Dan Campbells) to the fun.
“I have a clipboard for my talking points today and some juice for the interview,” said HopCat beverage director Justin Pollock while posing as Campbell.
Pollock is HopCat’s beverage director.

Whether you’re channeling a Starbucks Dan Campbell or a stage Dan Campbell, Pollock says all MCDCs are welcome to join in.
“We all love this crazy team, man. And you know, imitation is the best form of flattery,” Pollock said.
The winner will receive free fries from the company for a year. But like every Lions victory, it takes courage.
“I think it’s all about playing for the ones you love, right? So that’s that grit, that never giving up. Whoever you go for, your mom likes free fire, your dad likes free fries; you got to know who you are playing for,” Pollock said.
Pollock trained for it. “I’m looking at Instagram clips now and getting excited. I went to the dog food store, found some bones, looking for a pair of kneecaps,” he joked.
He says that win or lose, all imitation Dances are still part of one team.
“We’re in rare air right now; let’s see what kind of fans have the greatest MCDC energy,” Pollock said.
The Dan Campbell look-alike contest is on Sunday, December 8 at 4:00 PM at the HopCat location in Detroit.
