TRENDING STORIES:

Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney said snow showers will move through the area Wednesday evening. These can be described as a burst of snow that quickly reduces visibility levels to zero.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) said its crews must deal with whatever weather conditions we encounter, but spokesman Matt Burning said slick roads and snow showers are a major concern.

“The rapid burst – those snow showers can leave a very rapid layer of snow in a very short period of time, quickly reducing visibility,” Burning said. “It’s very, very dangerous. We need people to slow down and turn on their hazard lights.”

News Center 7 will continue to follow this story.
