Charlotte Dujardin receives a one-year suspension for hitting her horse

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Dujardin has been banned from equestrian sports for a year after the release of a video of her repeatedly hitting a horse.

The British rider, who missed the Summer Olympics because of the scandal, said what happened was “completely out of character” and “does not reflect how I train my horses or coach my students”.
