Collins achieves the highest NCLEX pass rates

December 5 – Preparing leaders for the next health care system in the Tri-State

CHESAPEAKE – Collins Career Technical Center (CCTC) has announced record NCLEX pass rates for its nursing programs, further cementing its reputation as a leader in healthcare education.

“CCTC nursing graduates are prepared not only to excel in their exams, but also to confidently step into roles providing high-quality care to our families and communities,” said James Woda, Director of Communications. “These exceptional graduation rates demonstrate the dedication of our students, the expertise of our faculty and the strength of our programs.”

In 2023, the Practical Nursing (PN) program achieved an impressive NCLEX pass rate of 94.87%, ranking third among all Ohio practical nursing programs and outperforming the state average of 80.38% and the national average of 86.68%.

Similarly, the LPN-to-RN diploma program delivered exceptional results by ranking first in Ohio with an 86.96% pass rate, demonstrating the success of the comprehensive training model.

CCTC’s groundbreaking Paramedic-to-RN program, the only one of its kind in Ohio, achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, highlighting its innovative approach to closing critical gaps in healthcare.

With a higher than average retention rate and strong employer demand for graduates, CCTC is committed to developing the health care providers the tri-state region needs. As enrollment grows and programs expand, the center continues to raise the bar for nursing education.

Based in Chesapeake, CCTC offers health, service and trade-based technical career programs for adults and high school students in the Tri-State region (Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia). High school students and seniors can participate in full-time on-campus programs or STEM classes in six of the seven county school districts.

Students in their programs have access to industry-standard equipment while gaining qualifications and developing the skills necessary to begin their careers in a competent workforce.
