Welcome to the weekend everyone! First and foremost, it will be dry and no rain or snow is expected.
Not only that, the weekend will be warmer, less windy and partly to mostly sunny, with highs in the 40s on Saturday and 50s on Sunday.
That above-average warmth will continue next week, with highs Tuesday in the low 60s.
No snow is forecast next week due to mild days, but rain is likely on both Monday and Wednesday. We may have to watch for snow in the Poconos on Wednesday evening as cold air moves in behind Wednesday’s storm.
The first official day of winter is in a few weeks, on December 21st.
The winter solstice occurs that day at 4:19 a.m. in Philadelphia. It is the time every year when all places on the planet should receive equal hours of daylight and darkness.
After the 21st we will see more hours of daylight each day.
