As Erie County continues to dig out the snow that fell from Thanksgiving night through Saturday morning, National Weather Service forecasters warn that minor flooding could be next.
Temperatures will be in the low 40s from Sunday through Tuesday, with rain showers expected on Monday and Tuesday. Both will serve to melt some of the province’s deep snowpack. “Soil conditions will become boggy and localized flooding of mainly low-lying and poorly drained areas is possible,” the weather service reported in its hazardous weather outlook.
