BART train service did not operate on the Red Line between San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae Friday morning due to a problem with trackside equipment, the transit agency said.

BART issued an alert about the problem shortly before 8:40 a.m. Passengers heading to the SFO or Millbrae stations must transfer at the San Bruno station, while Richmond-bound passengers coming from SFO must board an Antioch-bound train and transfer at the 19th Street Oakland station. station.

There is no estimate yet when regular service will resume.

BART also ran trains through the system at reduced speeds due to wet weather. Passengers were urged to use the official BART app or bart.gov for real-time train information and trip planning.
