Jessica Korda is targeting 2026 for return to LPGA Tour

Jessica Korda is looking forward to a return to the LPGA Tour in 2026, she said Friday during Golf Channel’s coverage of the Grant Thornton Invitational.

Jessica, the older sister of world No. 1 Nelly Korda, last played on tour in May 2023. She resigned due to a back injury and later announced her pregnancy.

Korda gave birth to her first child, son Greyson, on February 3.

“I’m definitely excited to be able to play again, I’m not sure how much,” Korda said. “I’ll take 2025 to assess and then 2026, according to our pregnancy history, is what we’re aiming for.”

Under the LPGA’s maternity policy, mothers are allowed up to two years from the date of birth of their child before returning.

Although she hasn’t played on the LPGA in 18 months, the six-time winner has done some TV work. She is also a Grant Thornton Ambassador.

Korda, 31, recently showed off her swing on social media.

“Absolutely painful,” she said in Naples, Florida. “It’s been a year and a few months since I haven’t hit any golf balls at all. It’s hard, my shoulder hurts, my forearm, my wrist, my glutes, which I didn’t expect to be activated like that for so long.”

Sister Nelly won seven times on the LPGA this season, cementing her status as the game’s best. However, at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, she said the highlight of her year was being an aunt.

Being a mother has also been rewarding for Jessica.

“For me, it’s my son’s milestones that get me excited right now,” Jessica Korda said. “It’s a grind, so I feel like patience is always being tested, just like it would be on the golf course, as a mother. The only thing I’m not very good at is my recovery… I like to sleep and that doesn’t exist.”
