Man missing from San Leandro mental health treatment center, believed to be in danger

Alameda County Sheriff’s Office officers are searching for an at-risk man who left a mental health treatment center last week.

Luis Moreno-Zuniga left the Villa Fairmont Mental Health Center in unincorporated San Leandro on Friday, where he was a patient. It is not known how he left, the Sheriff Office said.

Moreno-Zuniga is a 30-year-old Hispanic man, 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-7, approximately 140 pounds and a thin build. He has brown eyes and black hair. It was unknown what he was wearing.

Moreno-Zuniga is in danger due to a mental health diagnosis.
