A man and a woman were shot Monday night while sitting in a truck in Huntington Park.
It happened around 9:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of E. 60th Street between Carmelita Avenue and Corona Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which assisted Huntington Park police with the investigation.
Officers arrived on scene and found a woman with a fatal gunshot wound.
A second gunshot victim was found a short time later in the 4000 block of Slauson Avenue in the town of Maywood, police said.
“Investigators learned that the male victim was with the female victim when the shooting occurred and ran from the scene immediately after the shooting,” the LASD statement said.
They have not yet identified a possible suspect or motive for the shooting.
