Buckeye Central Local Schools will join the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center as a client district beginning July 1.
The Buckeye Central Board of Education approved the move at its Dec. 12 meeting, according to a news release. The Mid-Ohio ESC Board of Directors followed suit on December 18.
Mid-Ohio ESC serves 13 school districts and more than 20,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland counties. The center provides specialized academic and support services, including professional development.
Buckeye Central Schools is located in New Washington and serves more than 600 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12.
“We welcome the opportunity to grow our partnership and support the positive direction of the district,” said Kevin Kimmel, Superintendent of the Mid-Ohio ESC. “As a proud alumni and former employee of Buckeye Central, I look forward to building on existing partnerships and relationships within the district and community to help meet their needs.”
Buckeye Central was previously a client district of Mid-Ohio ESC.
“The Buckeye Central Local School District is excited to begin working with the Mid-Ohio ESC administration and staff,” said Buckeye Central Superintendent Mark Robinson. “We look forward to building a better future for the students of Buckeye Central through our renewed partnership with Mid-Ohio.”
Mid-Ohio ESC is located in Mansfield. Its mission is to provide leadership and service in support of the educational needs of its client districts.
