Elkhart man injured in crash

Dec. 22—A crash that sent an Elkhart man to the hospital early Sunday morning remains under investigation.

Elkhart County deputies reported that at 3:23 a.m. Armanda Gonzalez, 30, of Elkhart, was driving east on CR 16 west of CR 1 and drove off the north side of the roadway, striking a tree.

He was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

ARRESTS

– A 29-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies at 2:10 a.m. Friday on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering priors after he was stopped near Cottage Avenue and Crescent Street.

– A 22-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies Thursday at 3:15 p.m. after his father reported being punched in the face by the son, who then left the scene and was found walking near Ind. 15 drove. and CR20.

– A 23-year-old man was arrested and jailed at 12:48 a.m. Saturday by Elkhart County deputies on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after a crash in the 900 block of Indiana Avenue and subsequent pursuit.

CHILD MOLESTING

The Indiana Department of Child Services forwarded a report of child abuse to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.

THEFT

—Staff at Dutchman RV, 2164 Caragana Court, reported the property stolen to Goshen police on Thursday.

– A 68-year-old man reported to Goshen police Thursday at 1:22 p.m. that someone he knew had stolen jewelry from the 600 block of West Wilkinson Street.

– A 30-year-old woman reported document theft, computer trespassing and harassment to Goshen police Thursday at 4:26 p.m.

– A 29-year-old woman reported to Goshen police Thursday at 5:23 p.m. that a ring had been stolen from her home in the 1600 block of Crosshaven Court.

– A 36-year-old woman reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 9:30 PM Wednesday and 7:30 AM Thursday, her trash can was stolen from her driveway in the 59000 block of CR 7.

FRAUD

A 62-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that fraud had occurred between October 24 and November 19.
