Three people have been hospitalized after a Christmas Eve shooting in Oxford, Michigan

OXFORD, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – Police say three people have been hospitalized after being shot in Oxford, Michigan, on Christmas Eve.

According to Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, the communications center received an alert about a “major incident” on Ray Road between Lapeer and North Oxford roads. Authorities are calling on people to avoid the area until further notice.

Bouchard says emergency services found three people injured in a shooting. A suspect was taken into custody and a gun was recovered at the scene, Bouchard said.

The current condition of the victim is unknown.
