The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory around 2 p.m. Thursday that will last from 7 p.m. Thursday through noon Friday for an area that includes most of northeastern Kansas.
The advisory covers Shawnee, Anderson, Brown, Clay, Cloud, Coffey, Dickinson, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Jackson, Jefferson, Lyon, Marshall, Nemaha, Morris, Ottawa, Pottawatomie, Republicans, Riley, Wabaunsee and Washington counties .
Poor visibility can make driving conditions dangerous, the weather service’s Topeka office said on its website.
“When driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights and leave sufficient distance in front of you,” it said.
