Montgomery Public Schools, Autauga County Schools and Elmore County Public Schools will have virtual classes Friday in anticipation of winter weather, the systems announced.
All MPS after-school activities will be canceled and MPS employees will receive virtual work instructions from their managers.
Autauga County students can submit their virtual assignments Friday through Jan. 15, giving families without computers or internet access time to complete their work, the system posted on social media.
Autauga students also bring home prepackaged meals from school. School officials warned parents that some items may need to be refrigerated. They expect a normal school start next week.
Elmore County schools are sending packed breakfasts and lunches to students and have also canceled after-school activities.
