CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago isn’t quite done with snow this weekend, as some flakes are expected overnight through Sunday.
This Alberta Clipper system doesn’t have a lot of moisture to work with and it’s moving quickly, so small amounts of snow are expected, less than an inch.
On Sunday the temperature will rise to around thirty degrees and there may be occasional drizzle.
This system opens the door for an Arctic explosion from a lobe of the Polar Vortex early next week. The coldest time will be Tuesday morning, with wind chills down to -15°.
Prediction at a glance
TONIGHT: SNOW TUBE LATE. SMALL AMOUNTS. LOW 27.
SUNDAY: LIGHT SNOW AND SPLASHED FROSTY drizzle. HIGH 35.
