Police are still looking for the driver who left a 22-year-old man with serious injuries in Sylmar last week.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, it happened Wednesday around 9:15 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Sayre Street and Foothill Boulevard after learning of a crash involving a pedestrian.
They arrived to find the victim still unidentified.
Investigators discovered a gray sedan traveling northbound through the intersection at Sayre Street before turning left to head westbound on Foothill Boulevard. That’s where they hit the pedestrian.
Instead of stopping to help, they continued west.
A fixed reward of up to $25,000 has been offered to anyone with information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the alleged suspect. In hopes of locating the driver, police released a photo of the suspect’s vehicle from surveillance footage obtained during the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (818) 644-8036.
