Paramedics rushed three people to hospital after their boat was engulfed in a small fire on Friday evening.
The rescue operation began at the marina, near 700 Queensway Dr, at approximately 7:10 p.m. The Long Beach Fire Department said flames had taken over the boat when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters rescued seven people from the ship and surrounding water. Three of the patients required hospitalization, while the four others refused transportation.
The fire was completely extinguished within an hour.
