MEXICO CITY (AP) — A car rammed into a crowd outside a cathedral in Mexico on Saturday night, injuring at least 16 people, local authorities said.
The Guadalajara government said in a statement on
Manuel Romo, secretary general of the government, told local reporters that the injured were as young as 14 years old. He said a suspect was in custody.
“Fortunately, everyone is stable and we have been in contact with their families,” Guadalajara mayor Véronica Delgadillo said at a local hospital, where two patients stayed overnight for observation.
