A crash involving multiple tractor-trailers is blocking westbound lanes on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Images from Chopper 3 show multiple trucks blocking the westbound lanes of the tollway near the Bensalem interchange, Exit 351. The highway is closed between southbound I-95 (Exit 40) and Exit 351 until the scene is cleared.
Traffic was diverted from the highway via a parking lot. Previously, cars could pass the scene via the right shoulder or an exit ramp.
Stay alert and consider an alternate route if you travel this morning.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says motorists should take I-95 south to Exit 35 for Woodhaven Road and then exit onto US 1 North/Roosevelt Boulevard toward Morrisville. Drivers will then be able to re-enter the toll road at the Bensalem interchange after the crash.
Digital signs in the area show this diversion to motorists.
Crews were on scene cleaning up debris, which appeared to indicate there was a leak of some kind.
More information about the cause of the crash and whether anyone was injured was not immediately available.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
