A driver died after being found inside his crashed car, Pembroke Pines police say

A driver was found shot in a crashed Nissan Altima early Saturday in Pembroke Pines, police said.

At approximately 1 a.m., police responded to the area of ​​11700 Sheridan St. after reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they observed a crashed Nissan Altima and confirmed a man had been shot.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed at least two vehicles were driving recklessly on Sheridan Street, with an occupant in one of the vehicles shooting at the Nissan, according to police.
