A Minnesota man is responding to dashcam footage that shows his stolen SUV crashing during a police chase

ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. – Last Tuesday, while working on a car at his dealership, Jake Miller said thieves made off with his white Chevy Tahoe around 1 p.m.

The Tahoe has been in his family for twenty years, from game drives to Miller getting his driver’s license. A bit of a family heirloom, the Tahoe has covered a lot of ground. The last ride was the most chaotic.

Miller took to social media for help and asked people to keep an eye out for the truck. There were more than 200 stocks and sightings in Arden Hills, Forest Lake and Duluth.

Three days later, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull the driver over in East Bethel, but instead the driver took off before a high-speed chase began.

New dashcam video shows the moment the driver enters the ditch before rolling over twice, but the chase continues.

Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras captured the moment the chase ended after colliding with another truck in Ham Lake.

A 37-year-old Minneapolis man was taken into custody and two passengers were released.

On Tuesday, Miller scrolled through the dash camera footage sent to him and couldn’t believe it was his truck that was in the middle of the chase.

“To see it happen in your own car, this is just insane,” Miller said.

He figures it will cost about $40,000 to repair the truck, so he plans to part with it. However, he is hopeful that he can help the innocent woman who was caught in the chaos when her SUV collided with the speeding truck.

“The positive is that they found the person responsible, and no one was seriously injured,” Miller said.

This incident is under investigation by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
