A murder investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in Lynwood

Authorities are investigating an incident that left a woman dead in Lynwood on Monday.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, it happened around 11:15 a.m. in the 12000 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

Officers found the woman dead at the scene. She has not been identified.

Circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been released. Investigators have not provided any information about a possible suspect.
