A group of EMTs and paramedics are preparing for a whole new field of work.

The Dayton Fire Department announced on social media that nine new EMTs and paramedics will start working after six weeks of intensive training.

The Dayton Fire EMS Recruit Class 2024-B concluded its training Saturday with the traditional final morning run to fire headquarters and a graduation ceremony in the afternoon.

The department posted photos of the flight and the nine new EMTS and paramedics on its Facebook page.

The new first responders will hit the streets with Dayton’s medical units starting next week.
