A New York driver was killed Sunday afternoon when he crashed into several trees after veering off a New Jersey highway and then overturning.
Andrew Slagle, 25, of Westtown, Schuyler County, was driving along State Route 284 in Wantage Township, NJ, around 2 p.m. when he left the road and fell over after crashing into trees, a state police spokesman told NJ. com.
Slagle was the only one in the car and no other vehicles were involved, police said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
Westtown and Wantage lie on opposite sides of the New York-New Jersey border, about 10 miles east of Port Jervis, the intersection where both states border Pennsylvania.
