A Northport man is killed in a crash on Alabama Highway 69 in Tuscaloosa County

A 44-year-old Northport man died in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County on Dec. 5.

State troopers say Nickolas A. Griffin was killed after his 1999 Honda CRV left the road, struck an embankment and overturned on Alabama Highway 69 around 4:21 p.m.

Griffin was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, about 10 miles north of Northport.

Officers said he was not wearing a seat belt.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
