Thousands of homes and businesses were left in the dark Tuesday evening in San Bernardino County due to a significant power outage, Southern California Edison said.
According to the utility, the outages began in Lake Arrowhead and San Bernardino shortly after 9 p.m.
Nearly 2,200 SCE customers were without power in Lake Arrowhead as of 11 p.m., along with another 1,750 in San Bernardino.
At one point, more than 7,300 customers were said to be affected.
The cause of the disruptions was not yet clear. SCE crews were working to diagnose the problem and restore power.
