Commuters can expect heavy delays on I-93 Monday afternoon following a school bus fire.
According to Massachusetts State Police, an occupied school bus caught fire on I-93 northbound in Dorchester near Exit 14 around 3 p.m. Authorities confirm that children were on the bus at the time of the fire, although there were no reports were of any injury.
The fire has closed all lanes in the area of ​​the accident.
Traffic will be diverted from northbound I-93 at Exit 13 to Morrissey Boulevard.
Boston 25 News has contacted Tony’s Trans Inc. for comment. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
