Police in San Francisco are investigating a shooting near the Alemany Farmers Market on Thursday morning. authorities said.
San Francisco police said on social media at 10:13 a.m. that the shooting happened on the 1000 block of Tompkins Avenue near Putnam Street in the city’s Bernal Heights neighborhood.
The San Francisco Fire Department said several streets were closed by police and urged people to avoid the area around the Farmers Market, which is normally open on Saturdays.
