Orlando police said they are conducting a shooting investigation in downtown Orlando.
OPD announced on social media shortly after 2 a.m. Friday that officers were “gathering information and interviewing witnesses.”
The department released some other details on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the City of Orlando’s Active Calls for Service website, police were dispatched to a shooting near East Central Boulevard and North Orange Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.

U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost posted on X shortly after 2:30 a.m. about “reports of a shooting where multiple people were hit.”

To date, Orlando police have not confirmed these reports.
