Saturday forecast
As far as weather goes, there isn’t much to complain about in the Tri-State Area this weekend!
Expect lots of sunshine today with highs in the 50s and 60s in the area. Although temperatures are 20 degrees cooler than yesterday, they are much closer to normal for early November.
Tonight will be chilly with lows in the low 40s in New York City and around 20 and 30 in the suburbs. The sky remains mostly clear.
Sunday forecast
Tomorrow will be almost a repeat, just a few degrees cooler. The peak will be in the mid-50s. We will have abundant sunshine again. Again for the TCS New York City Marathon 2024 looks great with no issues!
A warming trend will be visible again next week. Highs will rise back into the 70s on Wednesday and even into the 80s domestically. The daily record for Central Park on Wednesday is 75 degrees, set in 2022. Our current forecast high is 76, so record heat is possible.
Drought update
We could really use some rain. Unfortunately, it looks like another situation where a cold front “washes out” Wednesday through Thursday as it approaches.
This means that although we have a chance of some showers mid-week, the chance is small: 20% at best. That is not enough to combat the drought.
An extra hour of sleep!
Have a nice weekend and don’t forget Daylight saving time ends this evening. Don’t forget to drop back an hour at 2:00 AM. Sunset on Sunday is at 4:49 PM
