Sunday forecast
After a cold morning today we will have another sunny and seasonal day to end the weekend.
Expect lots of sunshine, light winds and high temperatures in the mid-50s – a nice day for the TCS New York City Marathon!
Tonight will be mostly clear, with temperatures in the 30s for the suburbs and 40s in NYC.
Monday forecast
A warming trend will begin tomorrow as highs return to the 60s. There will be more clouds around the Tri-State area, but still no chances of rain Unfortunately.
Looking ahead
Tuesday will be even warmer with temperatures in the 70s. Inland, even the low 80s will be possible on Wednesday.
Record heat is possible again. The daily record for Central Park on Wednesday is 75 degrees, set in 2022. Our current forecast remains 76 degrees.
Drought update
We could really use some rain. Unfortunately, it looks like another situation where a cold front “washes out” Wednesday through Thursday as it approaches. Although we have a chance of some showers mid-week, this means the chance is small: 10% to 20% at best.
Overall, it will be another dry week, but temperatures will drop back into the 60s to end the week. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
