A woman was arrested Sunday morning after officers responded to a call about a burglary and shooting in Oakland Park, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded around 5 a.m. to the 4900 block of Northwest 13th Terrace, where they found Ruika Abdulrahman, 31, who had been shot in the arm. The shooting was related to a burglary, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Officers rendered aid to Abdulrahman and took her to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
BSO’s Oakland Park District Crime Response Team and BSO Violent Crimes Detectives are currently investigating.
No further information was provided Sunday about the shooting, burglary or related circumstances.
