August 23 – An upgrade to AES Ohio’s system brings new technology to the company’s customer experience, making it easier to pay bills.
Starting Wednesday, the company is rolling out upgrades to replace a 25-year-old customer system.
“For more than 110 years, you’ve trusted us to provide reliable energy services, and our commitment has always been to seamlessly power lives,” said Tom Raga, president of AES Ohio. “We’re making everything from payments to account management more intuitive and simple.”
The customer system will be available on a limited basis from 5:00 PM on August 28 to 9:00 AM on September 4. Online and telephone payments will not be possible, but customers can still report disruptions.
The upgrade will result in more flexible and user-friendly payments and account management, AES Ohio said. The redesigned accounts will feature new account numbers, as well as more options for starting and stopping service.
To ease the transition, AES Ohio will provide additional resources and customer service representatives to answer questions.
