Sunny and mostly clear skies will prevail in the Kansas City area over the next few days before storms threaten to cause a soggy start to the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
“Quiet weather until Thursday,” says the weather service on X, formerly Twitter. “Autumn-like conditions also in store.”
Temperatures will be around 59 degrees on Wednesday and 57 degrees on Thursday, which is typical for Kansas City this time of year.

The weather service said precipitation totals will be between 0.25 inches and one inch in most cases.
“The weekend will end dry,” the weather service said.
Mostly sunny periods are expected on Sunday. Temperatures will hover around 60 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
